Additional information

How to use the acrostic extractor

An acrostic often hides a word or sentence in the first letters of a text. This tool also lets you test last letters or a precise position, which is useful for puzzles and treasure hunts.

Lines

Line mode analyzes each non-empty line. It is ideal for a poem, a clue list, or a message deliberately written across multiple lines.

Words

Word mode analyzes words separately. Use it to check whether initials or last letters in a sentence form a hidden message.

Nth letter

The maximum position automatically follows the longest line or word. If an item is too short, no letter is extracted for that item.

Example

With the lines Ancient, Mystery, and Old, 1st letter of each line gives AMO. For broader extraction by sequence, pattern, or mask, also use the letter extractor.
