AppErgo expands to new languages

AppErgo was originally designed as a bilingual website in French and English. “Essential” versions are now also available in Spanish, Italian, German, Russian, Japanese, Chinese, Portuguese and Korean.
These simplified versions provide access to AppErgo and its English tools in additional languages. Full multilingual support will likely require a future version 2 and a broader rewrite of the website and its tools.

The historical length converter has been improved

AppErgo’s historical length converter has received a major update. Alongside the built-in historical measures, users can now add their own reference units when a source, region or period uses a different value. These personal measures are stored locally in the browser and can be exported and imported again for backup or use on another device.

A new English-language article is now available on AppErgo to introduce MYSTERIOSA to international readers.
MYSTERIOSA: A New French Treasure Hunt Launched in 2026 presents the hunt, its eleven puzzles, the hidden chest, the €50,000 golden prize, and the main information currently available about how the game works.
The article also aims to make this French treasure hunt easier to discover outside France.

Fixes applied to several tools

Several online tools have been fixed and improved, including the temperature converter. These adjustments improve result reliability and correct a few functional or display issues.
To make sure the latest files are loaded, you can refresh the page with Ctrl + F5.

AppErgo v0.9.4 is now online

AppErgo moves to version 0.9.4 with a major improvement to its bug reporting system. The form, previously intended mainly for Windows software, can now also receive reports related to online tools. A “Report a bug” button has been added to their pages to make feedback easier.
The FAQ has also been updated to better reflect the website’s current development.
Finally, homepage carousel management is now more flexible from the administration interface. This update also includes several technical and SEO adjustments concerning generated pages, language links and the site map.

AppErgo v0.9.3 is now online

AppErgo v0.9.3 adds 11 new tools to the catalogue, bringing the total to just over 200 web tools, 201 to be exact.
This is the catalogue planned for version 1 of the site. No additional tools are expected to be added before then. Only a few fixes and improvements will still be made to the existing tools. The main goal now is to publish new articles to enrich version 0.9 and make version 1 more complete and engaging.

Every tool now has its own icon

All AppErgo online tools now have their own icon, designed to better represent their purpose and make them easier to identify throughout the catalogue.
This work required a great deal of time and many small adjustments. It turned out to be a long and exhausting “little” task, but the final result makes browsing clearer, more consistent, and more enjoyable.

A new and very simple tool is now available on AppErgo: the Hourglass Timer.
Even simpler than the Simple Timer, it lets you start a countdown with a clear graphical representation. Choose a duration, start the hourglass, and watch the remaining time at a glance.

The first three categories, About AppErgo, Online Tools and Software, were mainly dedicated to the AppErgo project and its development.

This update adds a custom social sharing image for every tool ! Previews displayed on social networks and compatible platforms now identify the shared tool more clearly through Open Graph and Twitter Card tags.

Lighter images in article listings

A fix has been applied to the pages listing AppErgo articles. Thumbnails are now served in AVIF and WebP formats, with PNG kept only as a fallback for older browsers.
This change significantly reduces image downloads and improves the loading performance of the affected pages.

This update adds 20 new tools in the Audio and Text categories. The Audio category replaces the former Music category and now includes new sound-related tools, including the automatic sound effect generator and the sound effect editor.

AppErgo v0.8.3 is now online. This update adds a search feature for web tools directly on the home page. It is now faster to find a tool without opening the full catalogue first.
This feature stays true to the spirit of the site: simple, lightweight and without unnecessary overhead. No extra JavaScript has been added, and no additional request is required to use it.

Three web tools have also been stabilized: the classic die, the multi-sided die and the multiple dice roller.

AppErgo v0.8 is taking shape. The next version of AppErgo is currently in progress. The website structure keeps improving, especially around the online tools section.

Since its release, AppErgo v0.7 has been updated regularly. Many small features have been added here and there: quick-access buttons for web tool categories, an “PINNED” label for highlighted news on the homepage, Schema.org metadata, interface improvements, various fixes, and more.
