Read text diagonally
Diagonal reading places text in a grid, then reads cells along an oblique direction. It can reveal fragments, hidden words or useful clues in a puzzle.
The tool updates live: when the text, dimensions or direction changes, both the grid and the diagonal table are refreshed.
Reading direction
The four directions let you test diagonals downward or upward, from left to right or from right to left. The output table is sorted from longest diagonals to shortest ones.
Processed text
Options can remove spaces and convert text to uppercase. Keeping empty cells visible can help you understand the exact grid being used.
