Convert bits, bytes, kB, MB, GB, TB and binary units.
This tool lets you convert data sizes between bits, bytes and decimal or binary multiples.

Quick explanation
Enter a positive or zero storage size, then choose the source and target units.
Decimal units such as kB, MB and GB use multiples of 1000. Binary units such as KiB, MiB and GiB use multiples of 1024.
Try this too
Convert transfer rate
For bit/s or MB/s rates, use the transfer rate converter.
Additional information
Decimal and binary units
kB, MB, GB and TB follow a decimal system: each step is 1000 times the previous one. KiB, MiB, GiB and TiB follow a binary system: each step is 1024 times the previous one.
Bit and byte
One byte contains 8 bits. File sizes are often expressed in bytes, while network rates more often use bits per second.
Why are negative values blocked?
A storage size is an amount of data. It can be zero or positive, but not negative.
Local calculation
The conversion is performed in your browser, without sending values to the AppErgo server.
