Additional information

How to play Sudoku?

The goal is to complete the grid with numbers from 1 to 9.

Each row, each column, and each 3×3 block must contain every number exactly once.

Filling a cell

First select an empty cell in the grid, then click the number you want to place.

On both desktop and mobile, the number pad lets you fill the selected cell without typing directly into the grid.

Erasing an answer

To correct a cell, select it and use the “Erase” button on the number pad.

The given numbers cannot be changed: only the numbers you added yourself can be erased.

Given numbers and your answers

The prefilled numbers are part of the starting grid and act as fixed clues.

The numbers you enter yourself use a different color so you can easily tell them apart from the original clues.

Check and hint

The “Check” button lets you review the grid and spot possible mistakes.

The “Hint” button adds help to the grid when you are stuck.

Clear my answers

The “Clear my answers” button removes all values you entered, without changing the starting clues.

It lets you restart the same grid cleanly without generating a new puzzle.

Solving tip

Start with rows, columns, or 3×3 blocks that already contain many numbers.

Then look for numbers that have only one possible position before moving on to more open areas.

Data and privacy

The game runs directly in your browser. The grid, your answers, and your actions are not sent to a server.
