        How to compare two lists

Paste the first list into the Text A area, then the second one into the Text B area. Each line is treated as one list item. The tool automatically separates common lines, lines only found in the first list, and lines only found in the second one.

The summary quickly shows how many lines are common and how many are specific to each list.

        What are the options for?

Trim line edges ignores spaces at the beginning or end of each line. Ignore case treats two lines as identical even when uppercase and lowercase letters differ.

You can also skip empty lines to compare only useful list items.

When is this list comparison useful?

This comparison tool is useful for lists of words, URLs, addresses, names, IDs, or lines copied from a file. It helps you quickly spot what is common, added, or missing.

To compare two full paragraphs word by word, a more detailed text comparison tool will be more appropriate.
