How to use the duration adder
Enter two or more durations using the hours, minutes and seconds fields. The total updates automatically whenever a value changes.
You can add rows, remove a duration when at least three rows are present, or reset the form to start again from zero.
What does the tool calculate?
The tool adds each row as a duration. Seconds are converted into minutes, minutes are converted into hours, and the final result is displayed in a readable format.
When is this duration adder useful?
Use it to add work sessions, workouts, class times, cooking steps, audio tracks, meeting durations or several parts of a schedule.
Concrete example
If you enter 1 h 20 min 30 s and 0 h 45 min 50 s, the total is normalized to 2 h 06 min 20 s.
Good to know
Values are interpreted as durations, not clock times. To measure the gap between two precise times, use the Time between two times tool instead.
