Count the days until a date
This tool quickly shows how many days separate today from a target date. It is useful for tracking a deadline, preparing a trip, waiting for an event or checking how much time remains before an important date.
The calculation updates automatically as soon as you choose a date. There is no calculate button to press.
Future date, past date or today
If the selected date is in the future, the tool displays the number of days remaining. If the selected date is today, it says so directly.
If the date has already passed, the tool clearly indicates it and shows the number of days elapsed. This case is deliberately separated so a past date is not read as an active countdown.
Reading the result
The main result displays the number of days. The label tells you whether these are days remaining, days elapsed or today.
The details repeat the target date and provide an equivalent in weeks and days. This equivalent makes longer durations easier to understand, while the exact total remains the number of days.
Calendar days
The counter uses calendar days. Every day is counted, including Saturdays, Sundays and possible public holidays.
For working-day calculations or more specific business rules, use a dedicated business days between dates tool instead.
