Additional information

Add or subtract days from a date

This tool starts from a given date and finds the date reached after a chosen number of days. You can add days to find a future date, or subtract days to go back to a past date.

The calculation is automatic: whenever the date, action or number of days changes, the result updates immediately.

How to use the tool

First choose the start date. Then select the action: add or subtract. Finally, enter the number of days to apply.

The main result shows the resulting date. The details show the weekday, the ISO date format and the calculation performed, so you can quickly check the result.

Calendar days or business days?

This calculation uses calendar days. That means every day is counted: Mondays, Tuesdays, weekends and possible public holidays.

If you add 10 days to a date, the tool simply moves forward by 10 real days in the calendar. It does not skip Saturdays, Sundays or non-working days.

Practical examples

You can use this tool to check a deadline, prepare a time limit, find a past date, calculate a due date or plan an end date from a number of days.

For work schedules or calculations based on working days only, use a dedicated business days tool instead.
