Calculate weeks between two dates
This tool measures the gap between two dates in weeks. The main result shows full weeks and remaining days, which is easier to read than a simple total number of days.
The calculation updates automatically whenever a date changes. There is no calculate button to press.
How to read the result
The main result can be shown as something like “3 weeks and 4 days”. The details also display the exact total in days and the equivalent in decimal weeks.
Full weeks are calculated as blocks of 7 days. Remaining days are the days that do not make a complete week.
Reversed dates
If the end date is earlier than the start date, the tool still shows the absolute gap between the two dates, but it clearly indicates that the dates are reversed.
This makes it easy to spot an input mistake without blocking the calculation.
Calendar days
The calculation uses calendar days. Every day is counted, including weekends and possible public holidays.
For business calculations that need to ignore Saturdays, Sundays or non-working days, use a dedicated business days between dates tool instead.
