Quick explanation
Enter the duration to repeat, then choose the number of repetitions. The tool multiplies the base duration, displays the readable total and shows the calculation so you can quickly check the result.

Additional information
Repeat a duration without mental calculation
The duration multiplier calculates the total time produced when the same duration is repeated several times. It is useful for estimating a session made of repeated sets, adding identical cycles, planning recurring blocks or finding the total time of a repeated task.
Enter a base duration in hours, minutes and seconds, then choose the number of repetitions. The result updates automatically, without a calculate button.
Base duration and repetitions
The base duration represents one occurrence: a set, step, break, sequence, track, cycle or task. The number of repetitions indicates how many times that duration should be counted.
The number of repetitions starts at 2, because multiplying by 1 would simply keep the starting duration. For a single duration, the duration converter or duration adder is usually more appropriate.
Practical examples
Use this tool to calculate the total duration of 8 sets of 45 seconds, 12 breaks of 5 minutes, several identical work cycles or a playlist made of tracks with the same length.
It can also help prepare a workout, timed meeting, study session, workshop or sequence of repeated steps.
Difference with other duration tools
The duration multiplier starts from one duration and repeats it several times. To split a total duration into equal parts, use the duration divider instead.
If the durations you need to add are different from each other, the duration adder will be more practical. To convert a duration into seconds, minutes, hours or days, use the duration converter.
