Stopwatch

Measure elapsed time with start, pause, resume and laps.

Time

Start an online stopwatch with a circular display, pause, resume and lap recording. Follow elapsed time, read a compact summary and compare each lap duration with the total time.

Stopwatch

Quick explanation

Start the stopwatch, pause it when needed, then record laps to track successive steps. Each lap shows its own duration and the total time reached when the lap was recorded.

Need a countdown instead?

Use the countdown timer to start from a defined duration and get a visual alert at the end.

Additional information

A clear stopwatch for measuring elapsed time

This stopwatch measures time from a manual start. It is useful for activities with no predefined duration: work sessions, exercise, testing, waiting, technical checks, reading time or task tracking.

The main display stays central and easy to read. The circular progress indicator gives a visual rhythm without turning the tool into a countdown: it supports the measurement, but does not set a limit.

Pause, resume and reset

The main button lets you start, pause and resume the stopwatch. Reset asks for confirmation so an active measurement is not cleared by accident.

This keeps the tool simple: the stopwatch measures open-ended elapsed time, without presets, end alerts or setup before starting.

Using laps

The Lap button records an intermediate point while the stopwatch is running. Each lap first shows its own duration, meaning the time elapsed since the previous lap, then the total time since the start.

This makes it easier to read the steps of an activity. You can compare exercise sets, work phases or successive attempts.

Compact summary

The summary groups useful information without crowding the interface: current time, number of laps, latest lap and best lap. It stays separate from the main display so the stopwatch remains easy to see.

The best lap is the shortest recorded lap. It becomes useful as soon as several laps are available.

Stopwatch, timer or countdown?

The stopwatch measures time increasing from zero. The simple timer and countdown timer start from a defined duration and count down toward zero.

Use the stopwatch to measure an activity with no planned duration. Choose the simple timer for a quick alert and the countdown timer for a richer countdown with progress and options.
